QUICK LINKS
Supply Chain currently uses three hat factories:
Overseas Pre-Production (PP) Approvals:
Labels - PVC, leather, suede, and chenille patches can only be made in China. If these labels are ordered on a Bangladesh hat, they are made in a separate factory. The AM approves the labels and then they are made in bulk and shipped to the hat factory to be attached.
Full pp sample - This is the completed hat or completed garment with all the bells and whistles mentioned above included.**Please note: ALL the individual pieces have been approved by the AM and/or the client at this point. This means it is very rare for Brist to make adjustments to them at that point. This full sample is a chance to ensure the label placement is correct, the correct style, and color hat were used, etc. The circumference should be within 1cm. This is not a chance for the client to make changes to things that were already approved and this should be made clear to them.
Supply Chain approves bulk photos before the items are shipped.
Supply Chain currently uses one specialized patch factory:
Overseas Pre-Production (PP) Approvals:

Supply Chain currently uses two beanie factories:
Overseas Pre-Production (PP) Approvals:
Yarn and Knit - Sometimes the factory will send photos of a blank sample beanie are sent for AM approval. This step is purely to confirm yarn color and beanie size.
Labels - Sometimes the factory will send photos of the labels separately. In these cases, the AM approves the labels separate from the beanie. They are then made in bulk and shipped to the beanie factory to be attached.
Full pp sample - This is the completed beanie, with all the things mentioned above included. Please note: ALL the individual pieces have been approved by the AM and/or the client at this point. This means it is very rare for Brist to make adjustments to them at that point. This full sample is mainly a chance to ensure that label placement is correct. This is not a chance for the client to make changes to things that were already approved and this should be made clear to them.
*You will only receive a yarn/knit sample and label separately if ordering solid colored beanies from Jianguanwei (Xiamen) Textile. Aung Crown makes their own labels and will provide only fully assembled samples.

Supply Chain currently uses one apparel factory:
Overseas Pre-Production (PP) Approvals:
Button Ups and Board Shorts:
Strike off (S/O) - a print of the repeat pattern to confirm sizing of print, colors and quality of print
Once s/o is approved we print bulk fabric (no changes can be made to the fabric after it is printed in bulk)
Labels - we approve labels separately from the shirt
Once approved labels are made in bulk
Etched Buttons if required - we approve a photo for spelling, fill color, font. If there are no etched buttons, AM will not approve buttons until completed pp sample is ready
Once buttons are approved they are etched in bulk.
Full PP Sample - This is the completed shirt, with all the things mentioned above included. Please note: ALL the individual pieces have been approved by the AM and/or the client at this point. This means it is very rare for Brist to make adjustments to them at that point. This full sample is a chance to ensure the label placement is correct, the cut of the shirt looks right, etc. This is not a chance for the client to make changes to things that were already approved and this should be made clear to them. A change or adjustment to a label or button or repeat print would require remaking / reprinting at Brist's cost.
We can adjust location of labels if needed
This is when embroidery will be approved
Once full pp sample is confirmed, bulk garment construction proceeds
Flannels, Shackets, and Jackets:
Handloom (for fully custom, special request orders only) - a swatch of the custom fabric for pattern only. This is received in hands and is compared to pantone books. This is not for hand feel or weight of the fabric. This is to confirm the color and pattern.
Once handloom is approved we proceed with producing the fabric in bulk (no changes can be made to the fabric after it is made in bulk)
If it is not a fully custom fabric, we will not be confirming the fabric pattern or colors. The fabric is bought in bulk at the time the order is placed.
